Business Advocacy Speaker Series: City of Irvine
The Business Advocacy Speaker Series monitors legislation, environmental statutes, and political issues of concern that may impact the business environment in Irvine and neighboring cities. Speakers provide insight on issues and projects affecting businesses, members, and residents in greater Irvine.
For the past 28 years, Sean Crumby has held key executive leadership positions at various agencies, including the cities of Seal Beach, Stanton, Long Beach, Huntington Beach, and currently the City of Irvine.
In his current role, Director of Public Works & Sustainability, City of Irvine, Sean oversees a department of approximately 200 employees with an operating budget of approximately $100 million annually and an active Capital Improvement Program with over $500M in progress. Important initiatives in Irvine currently include implementation of Active Transportation Program efforts, the delivery of a globally relevant Great Park, and all environmental programs and efforts including the development and implementation of the City’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. Sean is a registered Civil Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada.
