About Us

Since 1941, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast has brought quality mentoring and innovative programming to over 100,000 Orange County youth. Our mission is to ensure that every child has mentors and champions in life. Today we currently serve over 8,000 children and youth ages 6-18, and offer programs at four Club sites and over 50 local schools. Our commitment is simple: no matter what background, socio-economic status, or obstacle, EVERY child and teen we serve will receive a first-class mentoring experience and the support they need to succeed.

The Club's programs are of special benefit to low-income youth at risk for academic failure, delinquency, and dropout--the majority of the children we serve face many barriers to school success, college enrollment, and future careers. We are proud to be recognized by BGC America as one of the most innovative programs in the country for tailoring each of our programs and activities to meet the specific needs of our target population. Our core strategy is after-school, educational programming. Our IMPACT Model provides daily, individual support to every youth we serve. We complement these efforts with health and social services for Club members and their families, including an onsite health clinic at our Santa Ana Club in partnership with Children's Hospital of Orange County, and our Family Strengthening Initiative, which empowers parents and caregivers with workshops, services, and referrals in partnership with over forty local nonprofits, colleges, and agencies.
